Christmas Gift Appeal

We we're looking for donations of brand-new gifts such as toys, games, arts & crafts, clothing, or toiletries.

And you stepped up!

We worked with local agencies with the aim of providing a gift for every child in our community who ordinarily wouldn’t get one.

Whilst Christmas isn't about presents, it is about hope and joy. Working together, we had a vision to bring hope and joy to as many children as possible at Christmas.

Gift Appeal

We asked for donations of brand new unwrapped gifts that social workers could then take out to the families they support, blessing them with something where ordinarily they would have had nothing. And the response was overwhelming! We were able to provide over 150 families with gifts for their children, from books and clothes, to Nerf guns and hula hoops.

Selection Boxes

We also approached local businesses to buy and wrap selection boxes, not just a few, but 700 selection boxes!! These were then taken by the social workers to give along with the gifts. The staff at Danbro covered the cost of 300 selection boxes, and wrapped them for us! We also had a number of other businesses in the area who all supported with this, the community spirit and willingness to help was incredible.

A huge thanks has to go to Lancashire County Council and their team of incredible social workers who spent the week running up to Christmas collecting gifts and delivering them out to families. You guys are amazing!
